New Construction Windows
What is the difference between a “replacement window” and a “new construction window?” There are a number of answers to this but an important element in building the best replacement window is the ability to individually build each window to precisely fit each opening on the home. Custom Windows’ replacement windows are built to within a 1/16” tolerance for this reason.
New construction windows are made to a set of ‘standard’ sizes which will rarely fit a replacement opening properly but are designed for the most common sizes used in new home construction. By producing only selected sizes, new construction windows can be mass produced at slightly lower pricing than a custom sized replacement window. But usually new construction windows are not available for those special shapes or specific sizes that are a hallmark of Custom Windows.
Builders and architects looking for a higher quality solution to sets them apart from the crowd have often asked Custom Windows to provide a solution to this dilemma. We are pleased to announce a new series of new construction windows based upon our popular V25 and V46 vinyl window frame extrusions!
By combining mass production cost savings of standardized sizes with our proven V25 and V46 vinyl extrusions allows a more competitive price point when standard sized new construction windows are needed without sacrificing the quality and flexibility that you expect from Custom Windows! Whether you need a standard ‘3060 single hung’ or a gothic arch, you can be assured of the same design and quality!
