The IN'FLECTOR is a truly unique product that easily mounts inside the windows and skylights of your home or business. The IN'FLECTOR panels are proprietary products that incorporate a
metalized, coated, polyethylene sheet laminated to a sheet of carbon graphite PVC that is then perforated and laminated to a sheet of clear polyester. Adding the IN'FLECTOR Window Insulator to any window will provide measurable benefits. And the poorer the window, the greater the benefits! For example . . .
- Air Leakage: Does air leak through your windows? This is an obvious energy impact that causes you to use more air conditioning or heating to maintain a comfortable interior temperature. Even then, you may not want to sit too close to that window since it is probably hotter or colder than the room! Test results show that adding an IN'FLECTOR Window Insulating Panel can reduce air leakage into and out of a window by as much as 67%. The more leaky your window is, the greater the benefit!
- Solar Heat Gain: Both commercial and residential buildings that use single pane windows allow a significant amount of infrared energy to pass through the windows and heat the interior. Even the best modern Low-E windows that we manufacture must allow some portion of the infrared to pass through. Adding an IN'FLECTOR Window Insulating Panel to a single pane window results in a Solar Heat Gain that is on par with a modern Low-E insulated window! And adding the IN'FLECTOR Window Insulator to any Low-E window, including a high quality Custom Windows' Low-E window, will result in a lower Solar Heat Gain than can be achieved with the window alone.
 Insulation: While we insulate our attics and walls to values such as R18 to R30, windows typically have an R-value of well under 5, making a buildings's windows the weakest insulating factor in any building. Since the IN'FLECTOR Window Insulator is a transparent solid surface, it creates an additional insulating gap with the window, improving U-Factor (related to R-values in insulation) by as much as 37%. And this is true for older single pane windows or modern insulated windows! - UV Rays: While the sun's UV rays do not impact comfort, they do cause fading of furniture, carpets and drapes. The IN'FLECTOR Window Insulator blocks up to 90% of these fading rays.
